The Thanks Company is a small business located in Cherryville, North Carolina, about 40 miles west of Charlotte. Thanks started about 10 years ago when a friend who was the director of the local Abuse Prevention Council couldnt find appropriate thank-you cards for her volunteers. We decided that there might be other agencies with the same problem, and perhaps there was a need we could fill. We created two thank-you cards, and mailed them along with an order form to several thousand hospitals and non-profits across the country. The response was strong enough to convince us to continue a project that both of us already loved. As our customers told us what they needed and wanted, we created more cards, added recognition gifts and custom-engraved awards. Many of our customers have been with us for years, and they are the nicest people on earth to deal with.
